Boop was no longer a carefree flapper but instead turned into a housewife or a career woman in some episodes. BOOP is a distinct clinicopathological entity with clinical, imaging and prognostic features different from those of obliterative bronchiolitis and usual interstitial pneumonia/idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (UIP/IPF).16 BOOP is characterized by the presence of granulation tissue in the bronchiolar lumen, alveolar ducts and some alveoli, associated with a variable degree of interstitial. Others still prefer the term BOOP because it is the most recognized. The Motion Picture Production Code, industry censorship guidelines for motion pictures, also impacted Betty Boop's content. Idiopathic organizing pneumonia may also be called cryptogenic organizing pneumonia (COP). The innocent yet sexual nature of the cartoons was a problem for the National Legion of Decency in 1934, a Catholic group founded by Archbishop of Cincinnati, John T, McNicholas. It describes when either a person or an animal touches another one’s face but mostly nose while being very careful, like when a cat touches something a few times to see if it moved at all. Many episodes also focused on men attempting to compromise her virtue. The term Boop the snoot got its meaning from cute animal pictures and videos on the internet. Some of the cartoons featured men trying to sneak a peek at her frame as she went on about her everyday life. Boop also wore a short dress and bodice that highlighted her cleavage. No other woman cartoon character at the time had a fully-developed figure. Fans of Betty Boop considered her a unique character because she represented a sexual woman versus being only comical or child-like. The Boops is usually a man of means who gives money and gifts in exchange for sex with his favored women heard in Boops by Super Cat (1986).
